Our Inspiration

To honor the memory of Domonique Simone Williams, we have established a scholarship in her name to support women in technology. Domonique was a corporate leader in the technology consulting field and enjoyed mentoring young professionals, specifically female business professionals.

Domonique worked at company’s such as KPMG, Mueller WP and worked for over 10 years at Protiviti, she had just celebrated her promotion to Managing Director when she passed.
Domonique was a board member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Women in the technology field are often underrepresented and lack female mentors within the profession who can relate to their experience. The Domonique Simone Williams Memorial Scholarship exists to support female students pursuing degrees in business or technology, who have demonstrated and value the importance of mentorship.

Domonique firmly believed that women could and should be in all spaces from the golf course to the boardroom and this scholarship will support this endeavor.

“Today you are You, that is truer than true.

There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”

About DOM

Domonique was an extremely laid-back and content baby. Being born to teenage parents, I think she decided I better be sweet because these guys don’t seem to know what they are doing. And sweet she was!

She was born in New Orleans, LA, and "attended" college with me at the University of Idaho, from the age of 2.

Domonique was strong, kind, compassionate, and extremely easygoing. At a young age, she began to develop many talents, she played soccer, and the clarinet in the band and was a straight-A student. Domonique was also a track athlete, she went to the high school state meet as a hurdler;  she continued her track career with a scholarship to Georgia Southern University where she graduated in 2003 with a degree in marketing.

Domonique and her husband Tyree (whom she met at GA Southern) welcomed two sons, Dylan, and David. Her boys were the loves of her life and she supported their interests and endeavors passionately. Dom volunteered with the PTA and governance counsel for the boys' schools. She helped build a challenging and accelerated curriculum to meet the needs of above-average learners in Roswell.

Domonique loved nature, hiking, gardening, and water activities. When she took on a new hobby, she attacked it with gusto. Given her own enjoyable youth soccer experience, she eagerly coached soccer for many years at the Roswell community park. Domonique loved kids and loved giving back to her community. She devoted much of her time to mentoring others in her work and personal life. Domonique loved traveling and enjoyed trips to the Bahamas, Jamaica, Canada, Mexico, Israel, Spain, France, Germany, and the Netherlands. Domonique enjoyed spending time with her three sisters (Justice, Parys, and Pilar) and brother Jay. And especially loved and adored her sons, Dylan and David.

Thanks for learning more about my amazingly wonderful and beautiful daughter.
